Matt Norris is an NC lemon law lawyer and the owner and principal of the Norris Law Firm, PLLC, based in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He knows warranty law, and focuses his practice exclusively on North Carolina lemon law, car warranty, defective vehicle, and auto dealer fraud cases. He is admitted to practice law in North Carolina and all North Carolina federal district courts.
Background
Before he began practicing law as a consumer lemon law attorney, Matt was an avid skydiver. During his 13-year skydiving career, he was part of a four-way competitive skydiving team, the Angry Beez. In 2001, he and his teammates earned the Silver Medal in the Advanced Class at the United States Parachute Association (“USPA”) National Championships in Ottawa, Illinois. Matt also earned his tandem and accelerated freefall (AFF) skydiving instructor ratings, and ultimately made over 3,000 jumps before retiring from the sport.
Since then, he traded his skydiving rig for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi. Matt has trained in jiu-jitsu since 2014, recently earning the rank of brown belt. Most mornings or evenings he can be found training at the Pendergrass Academy of Martial Arts in Wake Forest.
Matt attended law school at Georgia State University College of Law, graduating cum laude in 2007. During law school, he had the unique privilege of earning two consecutive internships with the Georgia Supreme Court, working for the Honorable Justices Carol W. Hunstein and Robert Benham. He also worked with the Georgia State College of Law Tax Clinic, was a member of the Moot Court Team, and earned an externship with the Atlantic Federal Defenders Program.
Before attending law school, Matt graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
Matt is a member of several legal organizations, including the State Bar of North Carolina, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, and the National Association of Consumer Advocates. He has presented on continuing education topics at the annual Auto Fraud Conference hosted by the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
Matt has focused his practice on North Carolina lemon law because he believes that consumers have a right to quality legal representation to even the playing field in a sometimes-predatory marketplace. He has been practicing as a lemon law lawyer in North Carolina for his entire career. He looks forward to reviewing your case and helping you get out of your lemon vehicle.
Why Choose an NC Lemon Law Lawyer Who Actually Litigates
Matt’s approach to NC lemon law practice is straightforward: manufacturers have teams of lawyers whose job is to minimize w
hat they pay you. You deserve an experienced attorney who knows the law, knows the tactics, and gets results. Matt has handled NC lemon law claims against virtually every major manufacturer. Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, VW. If it has two or four wheels and drives, then one of them has probably been a lemon. Matt has probably helped someone get out of it. Out-of-state lemon law mill firms cannot match his local knowledge and experience, nor his willingness to go the extra mile to get you what you are entitled to receive.
National lemon law advertisers take cases remotely. Many have no real intention of filing suit in North Carolina. Matt does. He litigates here when manufacturers refuse to settle fairly. That credibility matters. When Ford or Jeep’s legal team knows your attorney and sees their track record in court, they negotiate differently.
The NC Lemon Law gives you the right to force the manufacturer to buy back or replace your defective vehicle. Equally important, the law’s fee-shifting provisions require the manufacturer to pay your attorney’s fees when you win. That means you pay nothing out of pocket, and nothing at all if Matt doesn’t recover for you. It is a genuinely risk-free way to level the playing field against some of the largest corporations in the world.
